John’s Life at Open Minds
My social worker referred me to Open Minds at a crucial stage in my life. As a result, I am involved with a range of groups and feel that at this moment I am more out outgoing. It took me some time to get to know people in the group, but the support from workers has encouraged me to make the effort.

Open Minds has been an eye-opener for me in that I have met and talked to all sorts of different people in a very short space of time. At first I found it difficult to overcome my own obstacles in reaching out to others, but now making new friends is as easy as falling off a log. I was involved in planning and organising our trip to Conkers.
