Community Worker

Hi my name’s Ellie and I refer vulnerable individuals to a range of groups, one of which happens to be Open Minds. I feel that the service provided by them really improves the lives of those that I meet.

They support individuals by providing a range of social activities and life-long learning opportunities.

From talking to the Co-ordinator at Open Minds they are that crucial stage of developing from an organisation serving a limited range of need to one including a variety of members with needs and abilities.

This difference was highlighted by their trip to Conkers in Leicestershire as some of the group members planned and organised the day and decided that we should have 3 groups supporting 3 levels of need.

I feel that Open Minds have the organisational structures in place to make an impact if they were given the financial support.
